Friday, February 21, 2020 - From a half-bottle. Inky and impenetrable when poured, Left it in the glass for about an hour to air.

Very nice after an hour in the glass. Exotic spice box aromas - anise, cardamom, nutmeg, clove, roasted meat, blackberry, currants. On the palate, roasted meat, currants, and blackberry again, but no spice. Quite a bit of acidity. Not dense but flavors aren't too generous. Dry, savoury. Long finish. Tannic Needs time to open up. Decant for maybe 3 to 4 hours if you must drink now, or better leave alone for the next 5 years or so.
