Thursday, December 22, 2016 - 100 percent Grenache wine, made in a modern style, originating from the slopes of the Moncayo mountain (at an altitude of 600-700 meters, vineyards between 35 and 60 years old – clay and limestone soils – province of Saragossa). Maturation: the wine was aged for five months in new French barriques. Decanted: one hour prior to tasting. Color: intense cherry-red color with purple hues. Bouquet: aromas of blueberry, elderberry, kirsch liqueur and a hint of incense and menthol. On the palate: a youthful, full-bodied wine dominated by ripe and elegant black fruit, with a silky texture, a good acid core and quite smooth tannins. Satisfying finish with some notes of vanilla. Well drinkable now, but with potential for development over the next couple of years.

Modern gestileerde wijn (100 percent Grenache), geteeld op de hellingen van het Moncayo-gebergte (op een hoogte van 600-700 meter, wijngaarden van 35 tot 60 jaar oud – klei- en kalksteen bodems – provincie Saragossa). Rijping: de wijn verbleef vijf maanden in nieuwe Franse barriques. Decanteertijd: één uur voor consumptie. Kleur: intens kersrode kleur met paarse tinten. Bouquet: aroma's van bos- en vlierbessen, kirsch en wat sporen van wierook en munt. In de mond: een jeugdige, volkrachtige wijn gedomineerd door rijp en elegant zwart fruit, met een zijdeachtige textuur, een degelijke aciditeitsstructuur en al vrij zachte tannines. Bevredigende afdronk met een lichte vanilletoets. De wijn is al best drinkbaar, maar heeft het potentieel om zich nog enkele jaren verder te ontwikkelen.
