91 Points

Tuesday, May 18, 2021 - Deep garnet hue, 1mm clear meniscus. PNP, drank 2 glasses over 90 minutes. 75% CS, 15% CF, 5% M, 5% PV. Ripe black currants and black raspberry, dark chocolate, with subtle veins of boysenberry, fresh cut wood, a touch of green, and supple ground tobacco and hints of dried spearmint. The palate is quite nice, tart dark fruits consistent with the nose, dried tobacco leaf, spices, medium plus body with a velvety texture and polished tannins. This really evolves over an hour aand the dustiness emerges too. 90+ to 91pts.
