Wednesday, July 12, 2023 - My first of an auction 3 pack that I brought for our event.....prepped with a 30 min double decant. This one was open for business very quickly. Medium to dark ruby in the glass, a complex and wonderful nose of cinnamon, perfumed blue and black fruit, Belgian waffle and some slight savory/herbal notes.
100% Cabernet from Pritchard Hill (50%), Oakville (12%) and Rutherford (38%). The palate reveals a wine of exceptional weight and balance. It's silky and classy from start to finish. May be the most complete/drinkable wine of the evening. It really flowed well to everyone's liking. Complex, layers of fruit, polished tannins, some balsamic steak notes and even a hint of root beer at one stage later in the evening. Glad I have a couple more of these to go......
