Tuesday, May 16, 2017 - Private Comparison Of Four Off-Dry Rieslings By Alfred Merkelbach; 5/12/2017-5/19/2017 (At Home): 9.5 % abv.
I had to repost this TN because the wine decidedly improved by day 3 when all its parts came together, lime and minerality came out more strongly from behind the grapefruit and the future potential announces itself. Initially the (now well integrated) subtle diesel stuck out and there was still some subtle residual CO2.
Compared to the 2003 which I had just before this, the fruit is going towards quince and more strongly into grapefruit.
