Sunday, August 27, 2023 - Surprisingly youthful for a 19-y-old wine, this single-vineyard Barolo is a block-buster. Decanted. Med+ ruby w/ a garnet rim. Dark for a Barolo. Med+ black cherry, blackberry, red cherry, red flowers, and mocha and new French oak spice. Dry, with med+ acidity, med+ to pronounced tannins and high (14.5%) alcohol. Full-bodied, w/ med+ to pronounced flavor intensity and length. Still a baby, it will benefit from a decant and many additional years of aging. Modern stylings. WS 95

    Cheers!
