Friday, July 23, 2021 - A lost Friday afternoon gathering – Champagne and Burgundy (Blacksalt, Washington DC): Expressive nose displaying rich yellow and white fruit, lemon curd, granny smith, apple candy, a hint of flint, sweet spices and limestone. Excellent concentration, nicely layered generous white and yellow fruit, excellent balance and precision, bright acidity and mineral, and a seamless long perfectly ripe yellow and white fruit driven finish with a hint of flint at the end. Although young, this is really delicious.
