Saturday, November 16, 2019 - Private, little BB (Restaurant Holz und Feuer, Kirchheim, Germany): Glass: Gabriel Universal Standard
Popped and poured, not decanted.
Clear, pale amber color. Intense nose, at the beginning with lots of volatile acid, that vanished with air and time. Driven purely by botrytis: honey, spices. Some candied fruit. Intense, but not very complex.
On the palate again: botrytis, volatile acidity, a bit hot, 12,5% abv. Fried, candied fruit. Unfortunately quite simple and not very complex.Long, but simple finish. Immortal, but i doubt that it gains complexity. Disappointing for 99 PP. 89-90
