Monday, October 24, 2022 - Third amazing wine in a lineup celebrating and helping to cheer me up on my 65th birthday. This bottle was also memorable but unlike the 2014 Realm Houyi that kept evolving all night, this one peaked at about 3 hours and started to fade a bit after that -- so it suffered slightly in comparison. At its peak, was similar (but a touch darker in fruit and other flavors that the Houyi vineyard based Realm. Had great mouthfeel (typical 2016 talc-like minerality that I love), balance, energy and finish. The flavors started to fade by 4 hours (probably a 95 point wine by the end) -- rating reflects peak performance. Loved it!
