Monday, November 25, 2019 - A private tasting and dinner (Champagne Pol Roger, Épernay, France): Tasted blind. Mature pélure d’oignon colour, orangey, pin-prick bubbles; wonderful earthy and mushroomy Pinot Noir complexity, clearly from a riper vintage, candied fruit, wonderful lively freshness, dried fruit on the finish, good length. Drink soon.
