It was a good reminder to me to avoid putting a wine on a pedestal and avoid opening it until the perfect occasion. This occasion was a Friday eve after a long week. The bottle was just really tasty. Drink now or hold for a few years. I'm not particularly convinced it will improve but that is not a criticism it is just my comment on how approachable it is now. This is surprisingly light on the palate yet concentrated. There's a lovely floral edge to the wine (agree with roses mentioned below, this quality emerged after about 20 mins in the glass) which I have never encountered before with Cab Sauv. Balanced, fruity, interesting, drink with or without food, no complaints whatsoever, get stuck in.
