93+ needs 2-4 more years for the oak to meld. Juice, balanced and delicious with a sustained finish. Enjoyable now but I’m going to give it some more cellar time to settle the oak.Opened up very nicely at the end of the bottle! Maybe selling this one a little short…

Very much accessible, with a brief decanting. Not the most structured of Corison's historical vintages, with more upfront fruit (floral and blue berries dominate) and some softness in the mid-palate. Probably best enjoyed over the next three years or so (Galloni's window of up to 2035 seems overly generous to me).

Via coravin but drank within about 3-4 days. Kept going back to it. I'm pleased I opened this. It was a good reminder to me to avoid putting a wine on a pedestal and avoid opening it until the perfect occasion. This occasion was a Friday eve after a long week. The bottle was just really tasty. Drink now or hold for a few years. I'm not particularly convinced it will improve but that is not a criticism it is just my comment on how approachable it is now. This is surprisingly light on the palate yet concentrated. There's a lovely floral edge to the wine (agree with roses mentioned below, this quality emerged after about 20 mins in the glass) which I have never encountered before with Cab Sauv. Balanced, fruity, interesting, drink with or without food, no complaints whatsoever, get stuck in.

Dark ruby garnet. Aromas of dark plum. cinnamon, roses, toasty oak. Deep penetrating dark fruit on the palate, weight without heaviness (as Steve Matthiasson says), strong acids and tannins, salty black licorice, medium body, beautifully balanced. 13.6% alcohol.

Decanted for 3-4 hours and was still a little tight at first. A lot of dark fruits, some tannin, a little earth and as always a nice vein of acidity to keep it fresh. Still think it needs a few years for the tannins to soften a bit more.

On the nose, dark fruits, earthy, older than it actually is. On the palate, tannin and acidity are balance, well integrated. Smooth. Alc is only 13.6% so it is quite low. Decent effort.

Cedar and black earth and cassis fruit. Soft and textured on the palate. Really quite lovely with lots of depth. I wouldn't really hold it longer actually.
Cathy Corison makes the best cab in Napa. But she’s getting them ready a bit sooner 13.6 abv is a bit higher than her norm. This one has years to go - 5? Rich, fruity but still a tannic edge.

375ml opened with the 2016. Decanted both for 30 minutes before first glass and consumed over 3 hours. Compared to 2016 this was ready for business from the beginning, with lots of black cherry, blackcurrant on the nose. Lower acidity but higher tannins than the 2016. Started to show a slight lack of complexity on the palate as time went on. Long, satisfactory finish. Overall excellent wine.
more tense/focused than the 2014, perhaps a touch less generous - which is a good trade-off for me. in a great spot right now. as it evolves I expect it to soften / but I'm quite enjoying the tension.

Hard to rate. PnP on night one, with 2-3 hours of air time. Ungiving on the nose and palate, with faint notes of black currant and oak. Saved over half the bottle for night two, and while still somewhat tight, it opened up enough to show its structure and potential. Plum, black currant, spicy oak, and tar coalesce, but you know it needs another year or two (at least) to really sing. Rating is based on potential, because the quality is there in spades.
After an hour of decanting, it is beautiful blueberry and blue fruit. Almost like a blueberry sauce (Acqua al 2). Delicate chocolate covered cherries but not a robust sugary cherry. Delicate. Gorgeous rose petals. Light alcohol taste despite it’s actual value.
Continues opening up- a bit of wax candle. Maybe wax candy. Apple.
Bouquet of roses. Beautiful. Elegance and delicate. Bit of oiled leather now. Still elegant apple and power. Almost overdrive of power. Pushing through Oiled leather and crisp red honey crisp apple. Lovely. Last drop was perfect
Final notes: could have used additional time decanted. The power was pushing through, even the last drop. The first hour with the blueberry was delicious. Alcohol pushed through the end more than it was in the beginning.

Much more approachable than I expected, especially after 1+ hour of decanting. Juicy fruit with floral notes and no excess opulence. Likely to be at its peak over the next 5 years.

Deep, dark fruit. Denser vintage than typical. Needs time. Scent of violets hits you immediately and you can taste it as well. Wonderful. A bit of smoke too. Will be fantastic with more time although you could drink it now.

Tasted at the winery. Aged like all the Corison Cabs in 50% new French oak and 50% one-year-old barrels. It is an opaque dark garnet with medium+ tannin and acidity. Nose is a little restrained due to its youth, I think. But, it is clearly tightly wound with violets, menthol, dark blue and black fruit and cedar. It seems slightly sweet fruited with round glycerine-like texture despite the mouth coating tannins. I also get some chocolate covered cherry, wet stones and boysenberry with a savory and spicy edge. Medium-full bodied. Long finish. The wine was better at the end of the tasting after 30 minutes or so in the glass. I think this will merit a higher score when it develops more in the bottle. Give it 10 years, at least, in a good cellar if you can. Also needs lots of air. 92++ Infanticide at this stage?

Decent cab, but oak is a turn off. Needs 3 more years for reassessment. $96? No way worth it. It's quality for sure but really nothing stands out. Might be a different story with age.
A wine of great balance, perfume and proportion. At its heart is pure cassis. There are notes of violets and cedar too. It is rich and textured without being heavy and all of the wine's elements are in complete harmony. Spherical tannins carry the long finish.

Meget god vin.

Dark ruby. Classic powerful slightly herbaceous Cabernet nose. Discretely ripe, good acidity, judicious oak, round tannins. Certainly not punishing to drink now although obviously, it will continue to improve.

Another Corison winner. No one makes Napa cab in the refined, age-worthy style and this 2015 is just coming into its window. Black fruit, cigars.

Pretty steep for 100 dollars.
Ironically reminds me of both Snowden wine making style and a bit what Chateau Margaux is like at least extremely young.
May give further thoughts until tomorrow.
Flinty granite... black currant...
It's either needs 5 years or so or not worth 100 bucks IMO...
