2017 Montes Purple Angel

Saturday, January 2, 2021 - Absolutely fantastic, as usual. This is dense, deep and layered, complex, with a refreshing acidity. Wonderful nose and palate with "crème de cassis", chocolate, espresso, blackberries and floral notes...and very refined tannins. One of the best QPR if you like big reds...that are not heavy. Would be curious to try an aged Purple Angel.
