Wednesday, November 3, 2021 - Opened with a nose of barnyard and sweatsox, blew off in about 15 minutes, nose of mushroom, sweet and sour fruit, black cherry, black berry, and hints of briar, 40 minutes into the tasting, the nose was the same but more floral, on the palate, rich, brooding, big body, very tasty, continued to improve throughout the luncheon, long finish, photo uploaded, compared to the 1997 Bouchard Bonnes Mares, it was masculine, darker, deeper but not as rich nor as elegant. If well cellared-this cork saturated only 5%, then easily last another 8 years, at peak, enjoy now.
