Saturday, February 5, 2022 - Two hour decant. Bright, but nearly opaque, hazy magenta color. Honeycomb-laden dark chocolate, ripe blackberry, red plum, chili, and arugula on the nose. Smooth, dry palate. Full tannins on the medium long finish.
Interesting nose, but the green and savory notes didn’t mesh well with the fruit and confectionery notes. This is a reasonable drinker and yet absolutely a victim of the vintage.
