Saturday, September 25, 2021 - Copper coloured, cork was in great condition and less than half soaked. Popped and poured straight from the wine fridge.
Nose of marmalade and honey on toast. The nose blind I would have guessed a Sauternes. Still had a great freshness with no petrol or stickiness.
High intensity acid with the taste reflecting the nose. Again had a Sauternes feel without the richness and sweetness. There is a little bit of rs but it's well kept in check with the acid. Finish was long, and kept me going back for more.
This was delicious, but I can't see it getting any better. I wish I had more, but was a great bottle as a once off.
