Friday, April 7, 2023 - Consumed over 2 days (stored in Vin du Somm), note from day 2. Appearance: Clear, medium garnet with noticeable edge bricking. Nose: Clean, medium intensity with aromas of Asian spice, mushroom, earth, cranberry and dried cherry. Palate: Dry, medium acid, medium- tannin, medium body, medium+ intensity, 14.2% abv with flavors of dried cherry, mushroom, and spice with a medium+ finish. This is at or, more likely, just past peak with earth and mushroom notes overshadowing the fruit, but there is enough fruit to maintain a sense of balance. Overall, it's drinking very well yet with the soft tannins and receding acid levels leaving an overall mellow and subtle experience but there is still wonderful balance. Drink now.
