Thursday, June 24, 2021 - The other pleasant surprise in recent YY 2019 Vintage Tasting. I’d never tried YY Chardonnay. First impression was ‘a sophisticated, fresh Chardonnay balancing some delicacy with raciness’. There was citrus meeting stone fruit (even a tinge of tropical) but then in the centre an interesting broader gentleness evoking white/yellow flowers, or Viognier, or even aged Semillon. A lovely classy wine.
