Thursday, May 19, 2022 - From a perfectly kept bottle the 1990 was the stand-out among many great bottles that evening with main theme of Rousseau Beze. Served side by side the also great 1989 it was this effortless ageless beauty of immense fruit purity, fantastic polished and sweet lush blue fruits, velvet tannins and immense length. A wine you wished to kiss your lips as often as possible in your life. Terrific stuff. But all the other Bezes were great that night too just to point out. And if you are in the mood for more old school rusticity the 89 would be my choice of poison.
