Wednesday, September 13, 2023 - Nice nose of ripe black cherry. Very interesting palate with lots going on. Fine acids and tannins, flavors more subtle - elements of cherry and plum - palate feels a bit closed, alcohol element (whatever it is) buried in the background. Let's see what some air brings... With some good Comté the palate is more evident. The acids, flavors and tannins remind of some good young-ish Italian wines. Will be looking forward to seeing where this goes with some cellar time. DAY 2: palate more open, get ripe plum flavors, very good balance with tannins and acids. Drying tannins on the long finish - this so reminds me of young Italians. Delicious.
