Friday, October 24, 2008 - Begins woody, but not toasty, the wood is new, untreated lumber. With air, the new wood smooths out, turns to vanilla, but never quite leaves the palate. There is also a bit of green-ness, but not leafy, more like snapping an underripe, green branch of a plant. Despite the new wood, I rather enjoy this wine for its clarity and richness. Quite tasty.
