Friday, August 18, 2023 - Sancerre vs Pouilly-Fumé (K&L Wine Merchant - Redwood City): Some sort of white berries on the nose with white and orange-yellow flowers. Very lifted floral aromas accompanied by a gentle sweetness from some pears. This has a nice perfume to it.
Palate showed clean pear notes, a thick but light honey note, gentle spice on the finish with sparkly minerals. A gentle tree bark note and straw as well.
Loved the fruit on this. Second favorite of the lineup.

(I have been in that same spot tasting and feeling the wine was off - weird when no one says anything, right?)
