Tuesday, August 8, 2023 - Ceraldi, Wellfleet, Mass.: With a large scallop, leek pudding, crispy leeks, mushrooms, and black garlic sauce: The server described the wine as "ethically vegan," which provoked a certain amount of consternation and confusion at our table. So we tasted the wine in the midst of attempting to guess what unethical veganism might be, or to discern how any sort of veganism might be relevant, and we were collectively surprised by the fresh and incisive deliciousness of this wine -- clean, mineral, with a lovely dry cherry flavor and just the right amount of acidity.
