91 Points

Thursday, October 26, 2023 - Tasted double blind from a small capped bottle as part of a zoom tasting. Deeper and more powerful than wine #1 (82 Belair). A little exotic. Very aristocratic and complex. A little VA - marzipan. Plummy and cassis fruit. Dark and spicy and more rough. Chewy tannins. Florals - violets. Gets more coarse into finish. Finish is a little volatile. Nose - 5-5.5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 4.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 15.5-16/20.
