Tuesday, March 5, 2024 - Deep reddish-purple garnet in color. Full, forward, & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with overtones of dusty/earthy & spice notes of cloves & pepper, herbs, anise, dark cocoa, iron & minerals. Full bodied with a good concentration of well balanced, & smooth textured, lush, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & mulberries with spices, herbs, minerals & dark cocoa. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but like past vintages, it should develop further with several years of additional aging at which time it may merit a higher score (93+). Very good QPR from a consistent producer of excellent Zinfandels.
