Friday, November 14, 2008 - at the Bottle Shop 2006 Burgundy tasting - pale yellow and a restrained nose with lemon notes. The initial taste was surprisingly thin (although it got more noticeable with more air time and as the wine warmed up a bit), but then the minerality ("chalkiness" according to Vincent) and flinty character, well supported by acidity, emerged. Grapefruity clean finish. Certainly it finishes better than it begins. Seems to be a good accompaniement with simple foods, too austere on its own. If there had been more body, it might have come home with me, but I passed.
