94 Points

Monday, October 6, 2014 - John Gillman's score is right on, n my opinion. A wine of great balance, gorgeous fruit and refinement. Blackberries, tree tomatoes, leather, spice and cassis on the nose. Equilibrium is the essential trait of the palate. This is complete and involving. Very complex bottle age notes add drama but I would not yet call this mature - just drinkable. This is not a blockbuster but it is superb.

10/7/2014 12:53:00 PM - We also really think that this vintage is the first return to this producer's grande olde worlde of sumptuousness. Their high status of yore can't, however, be granted by a single vintage. Even if our hopes are up that forevermore: Mont-Redon will only be making fantastic wines!

We have very much enjoyed our first 3 btls of this and are carefully looking forward to our final five.

10/7/2014 6:11:00 PM - I completely agree with you. In fact I recently bought a 1/2 case of the 2010 but it is not nearly at the level of the 2007 - although I have read a few reviews with outstanding scores. I am hopeful that the 2010 will develop along the lines of the 07. After this last tasting, I have pretty high hopes - a super class act.

By the way, I wouldn't know how to delete a repeated comment, either!
