Sunday, October 29, 2006 - As others have said, this shows a very fine bead (which is impressively persistent to boot). The nose shouts Bollinger: it's bready, marrowy, and minerally, with the fruit showing up only later on the palate. In the mouth, the mousse is smooth but there's a good bite of acidity, too. The only thing lacking is a monumental finish; it's crisp, minerally, and clean, but it's not noticeably long. Otherwise, though, this is an all-around beautiful effort for the vintage.
