Friday, November 17, 2023 - Drinking any bottle of wine by Armand Rousseau is one of life’s great pleasures. Faced with a light and bang average vintage in the shape of 2007, Mr Rousseau has teased majesty out of meagre coins. The nose was enthralling - red berries, raspberry coulis, violet flakes and the limpid note of undergrowth and wet beagle. The palate was silky, mellifluous like a sonorous bell. The finish was long, precise, persistency with great panache. In short the wine was celestial. Does anyone in the world produce greater wines than the noble address of Armand Rousseau? Personally I think not.
