Saturday, August 16, 2014 - A considerable improvement over the last bottle. It's still a big, ripe mouthful, but there's better balance now. The nose shows some alcohol heat. Palate: Intense, ripe Blackcurrant & raspberry, wood spice, a little olive, some oak and cocoa powder. Much better acidity than the last bottle. Long, lingering tangy Blackcurrant finish. This still needs time, but I'm optimistic that it'll be fantastic in, say, 10-15 years.
