Friday, December 17, 2021 - A well made and satisfying cabernet, but seemed to fall short of my expectations for this 2007 version. Was a bit surprised, because many of the 2007 cabernets I've had have retained really incredibly fruit, even 15 or so years down the line. This one was more about balance and finesse, with the fruit not quite as forward as I was expecting. Nevertheless, a good wine but not great. Have one more and will open within 5 years. Was it possible the wine was in a 'dumb' phase? Hard to call as I don't know if that is the case or in decline.
