Saturday, October 1, 2011 - Pop and pour, definitely need a decant. Solid nose of cassis, mint, vanilla, cedar, green tobacco. On the palate, sour cherry, red currant, cedar, bell pepper. Finishes long with massive tannic structure. Kind of disjointed right now, seems to have good raw material, fruit is almost completely hidden right now. Hold for at least five years. Have some left, will try tonight to get a Day 2 reading.
