Wednesday, December 10, 2014 - Deep, dark, inky, reddish-purple in color; almost cannot see through bottom of glass. Forward, fragrant & attractive nose of rich, lush, ripe dark fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & cassis with lovely mint & cedar overtones, spices, leather, some tobacco, a hint of anise, earthy, cocoa, toasty oak and a touch of vanilla in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of still youthful & developing, well balanced, smooth textured, rich, ripe dark fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries and cassis with kirsch, spices, mocha, minerals, toasty oak & a hint of vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well with decanting and extended airing but needs additional time to fully develop completely. (89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, 4% Merlot)
