Monday, May 30, 2016 - Terrific bottle and very different from a prior one a couple of years ago. This was big, smooth, round, rich, ripe and juicy with lots of depth and surprisingly sharp-edged acidity. Cherry and blackberry dominate along with moist earth and a touch of cloves. May still have some upside, but the tannins are resolved and the wine has opened and mellowed. More of a sipping wine than a food wine to my palate. 91+
