Plenty going on here and strongly so at that. Darker red fruit with balanced firm tannins. In a nice place now and will be for quite some time. Wish I had more.

Still plenty going on. Took a good 20-30 minutes to open up then nicely balanced and well rounded. Not profoundly complex but very good and quite enjoyably.

On opening the wine was tannic with little fruit. Thirty minutes later it opened. Classic PN fruit, wonderfully balanced. Great with salmon dinner and chocolate souffle. I think any you have should be great for another year or two. I, however, am out. Sigh.

Delicious 2008. Fruit in balance and very tasty. Went well with a meatloaf and asparagus dinner. I agree that it is not a long term keeper. Tannin is sufficient but nothing more now. The very forward fruit of the 2008 vintage is also muted, but that improves this wine.

Getting back to checking on some 08s. I had this over 2 nights and was dramatically better on the first night. It has started to transition but the fruit was still fairly fresh with medium acid and a good amount of tannin. On the second night the wine showed more aged qualities but had gone a bit out of balance. It was my only bottle so it is a non issue for me but I would say either pop and pour or give 2 or 3 more years.

Decent nose, but very un pinot like on the palate. Some blackberry/ but mostly rustic and earthy. Nothing to write home about. Missing the fruit since last tried.

Terrific bottle and very different from a prior one a couple of years ago. This was big, smooth, round, rich, ripe and juicy with lots of depth and surprisingly sharp-edged acidity. Cherry and blackberry dominate along with moist earth and a touch of cloves. May still have some upside, but the tannins are resolved and the wine has opened and mellowed. More of a sipping wine than a food wine to my palate. 91+

Overall seemed a bit rustic and harsh - especially in comparison to an Inman pinot that immediately preceded it. Dark fruits, earth and oak in a tightly wound package with more structure than fruit at the moment. I think it needs another couple of years to come together and mellow.

My first bottle of this wine. Love the nose of deep, dark fruit, spice and bramble/earth. Much bigger than I expected (for an Oregon pinot) with a medium+ body, rounded edges and a creamy mouthfeel. Great depth and concentration on the palate, but also a bit one dimensional and with some sharpness and bitterness on the finish. Flavors like it is from Oregon, but with richness and texture like a ripe California pinot. A bit rich for my palate, but still very enjoyable.

Blackberries, ripe cherries, alpine strawberries, beautiful rich dirt and delicate morels in the background. This is coming into its own with a big presence, dark fruit coaxed and tamed by fine winemaking into a well balanced, structured wine. Great fruit, acid and tannin. Not a pop and pour, give it an hour or a day and it just keeps getting better. Could only get better with time in the bottle. Heck, the Westrey 1999 Abbey Ridge was singing a couple years ago.

white pepper, hint of smoke, black cherry, violets, subtle mushroom character. A lot of acidity and some good tannins. Should be a real nice wine. Decanted and drank over 6 hours.

My first 08 Oregon pinot and my first of any vintage from this producer. Purple plum in color. No nose to speak of. Delicious black fruited palate. Big, but balanced. Will hold remaining bottles for another year or two. Nice QPR.

Had with dinner at Vinegar Hill House in Brooklyn.
Great fruit, seemless mix of blackberries, strawberries, plum, cherries. Great structure and balance, but the nose is tight. After one hour still has not opened up significantly, although some layers of complexity was starting to show. This is a keeper and a gem.

Very similar to my last comment. Good wine with considerable potential. Too bad I am almost out.

Rich and delicious, pretty open and friendly at this point except for the tannins, which are still pretty evident on the finish.

Still very young, showing good amounts on tannin and oak. But it is well balanced by juicy fruit and acid.
