Saturday, March 7, 2020 - Purchased on release. Stored at 57 deg. F and 70 % R.H. Double decanted over 2-1/2 hrs. Initially restrained with notes of tea. With airing developed black cherry and currant flavors. Tannins were present but rather soft and not overly astringent. As the evening progressed the wine became thick and rich with strong blackcurrant flavors. This is a really good wine! The tannins indicate a longer life ahead. Looking forward to tasting it again in a couple of years. Kudos to the Silverado winemaking team. They really hit it out of the park with this wine.
