Drinking wonderfully and proved a classical perfect pairing with dry-rub BBQ ribeyes. Just the right amount of deep dark rich fruit, savory earthiness & resolved fine tannins. Glad we have a couple more bottles to enjoy.

Purchased on release. Stored at 57 deg. F and 70 % R.H. Double decanted over 2-1/2 hrs. Initially restrained with notes of tea. With airing developed black cherry and currant flavors. Tannins were present but rather soft and not overly astringent. As the evening progressed the wine became thick and rich with strong blackcurrant flavors. This is a really good wine! The tannins indicate a longer life ahead. Looking forward to tasting it again in a couple of years. Kudos to the Silverado winemaking team. They really hit it out of the park with this wine.

parker says this is a 25-30 year wine but i don't see it. decent nose, fruit fading a bit and a touch heavy on the american oak. tannins seem to be quite tame at this point. Probably a touch past peak, drink up.
