Drinking wonderfully and proved a classical perfect pairing with dry-rub BBQ ribeyes. Just the right amount of deep dark rich fruit, savory earthiness & resolved fine tannins. Glad we have a couple more bottles to enjoy.

Purchased on release. Stored at 57 deg. F and 70 % R.H. Double decanted over 2-1/2 hrs. Initially restrained with notes of tea. With airing developed black cherry and currant flavors. Tannins were present but rather soft and not overly astringent. As the evening progressed the wine became thick and rich with strong blackcurrant flavors. This is a really good wine! The tannins indicate a longer life ahead. Looking forward to tasting it again in a couple of years. Kudos to the Silverado winemaking team. They really hit it out of the park with this wine.

parker says this is a 25-30 year wine but i don't see it. decent nose, fruit fading a bit and a touch heavy on the american oak. tannins seem to be quite tame at this point. Probably a touch past peak, drink up.

Had this a few weeks ago. I somehow have managed to consume nearly all of my 2007 Napa Cabs, an unfortunate reality that I have to come to grips with. 2007 has become my favorite Napa vintage, and this bottle did not disappoint. Quite spectacular. Drink now with a 2 hour decant or hold.

I have to say it was delicious, dark and filled with the california cassis fruit flavors. Not sweet or caramelly at all. Still, throughout the 3 hour dinner it remained a bit closed (tight) and did not reveal its full potential. A great wine but I will wait to open my second bottle for at least 6 more months.
Really impressive. Great depth and grip. Showing unique feminine structure with classic plump milk chocolate and ripe sexy bing cherries. Pronounced and showing very well. This should age and evolve for another three to five years then settle in. Recommended.

Decanted for 30 minutes and enjoyed with a steak dinner at Auberge du Soleil, Rutherford. Excellent pairing! Enjoyed the dark fruit, earth and great mouth feel. One of my favorites.

93 pts

Aromas of dark fruit/blackberry and some cedar/gram cracker - seemed syrah-like as a first impression. Hint of a vegetal element in there as well. Smooth with rich body, medium-long candy/raisin finish. Maybe this needs some more time in the bottle?

Our bottle had been jostled by a lot of travel and we drank it too soon, still I tasted notes I had never experienced in a Cab... green apple? sweet pepper? Also vanilla and molasses. Velvety, not too tannic, balanced.

Tasted over a 24 hour period. Very nice fruit profile, the tannins were much softer than I expected. Very enjoyable, wish I had more.

full smooth terrific! I paid too much at the winery, but that went out the window as we enjoyed this great vintage with beef tenderloin.
