Still in quite good shape with wonderfully aromatic vanilla/strawberry nose and some bright cherry on the palate to go with a smooth baking spice and vanilla finish.

I think this is over the hill. It was very hot and had almost a cherry cough syrup taste. Could not drink. I love Peter's wines, but this one did not age well.

In a very nice spot though still on the younger side of maturity. Ruby/purple in color. The nose has dark cherry fruit with a bit of sandalwood. On the palate, more juicy acidity. Black cherry fruit. deep but tightly layered. As it opened, there is plenty of fruit right now. It has a long life left if that is how you like your Pinots.

I rarely assign a score but this deserves a better rating than its current 88.7 average. This wine is in a good spot. Very expressive with mouth watering fruit that explodes on the palate. Seamless with no rough edges.

Either a much better bottle than two prior ones, or it has mellowed over the past couple of years. Cherry and earthy/brambly flavors with a lean, medium body, a smooth texture and round edges. Not a hint of the harshness or bitterness of prior bottles.

Opaque garnet. Red fruit nose with earth and some white pepper. Full bodied for a PN, but with great mouth feel. Cherries & strawberries with some earth undertones. Was catching some vanilla on the finish. A big PN with some complexity.

I liked this - more New Worldish in disposition than the wines I choose myself but coming from Williamette it wasn't overblown. An interesting wine to compare to the Mugneret-Gibourg. Coolish climate tasting wine, the 13.8% alcohol noticeable but not obtrusive. Riper tasting than the Mugneret though I preferred that wine.

Plenty of red fruits - mostly cherry with a brambly character and a bit of spice and earth. Overall good flavors but also harsh and sharp edged with rough tannins. It did improve with airtime, but never became truly enjoyable.

Interesting nose of red and dried cherry, earth and coffee. Unfortunately, while it is lean and medium-bodied, it was also bitter and sour on the approach. There seemed to be good flavors lurking in the mid-palate, but the bitterness lingered and overpowered any fruit flavors. My first bottle of Sineann Schindler ever, and I was not impressed. At first I thought the bottle was flawed, but after reading other reviews, I see that others have had the same experience. Perhaps there is a lot of bottle variation?

Some wines with friends (Sue and Bobby's): This is in a good place right now. It has a nice cherry nose with some cherry powder. Its a bigger Pinot but not necessarily riper. A nice complexity at this point with plenty of depth. Cherries and a bit of earthiness settling in.

Bright cherry fruit, candied as mentioned by the last post is a great description. Undercurrent of earth, a touch of spice, a bit of herb. Layers of flavor evolved as the wine opened. Light style, but still complex.

My impression of this wine was much more than others. Maybe I had low expectations after reading some of the notes but I found this to be balanced and very approachable with candied red fruit and viscous on the palate with nice spice undertones.

Medium red with slightly rusty rim; a bit metallic nose, also fruity but hidden; harsh hard attack, some fruit, but overshadowed by acidity; unbalanced. Better on day two

A decent Pinot. Promises more on the nose than what the palate discovers. A rich, cherry nose, but the flavor comes off a bit thin and a touch hot. A pleasant enough wine but not above $30.

Lovely nose of cherry strawberry and asian spice. A bit thin in color and nose, yet enticing. I don't know if this is an off bottle, but I expected much more from this effort. The palate is harsh and bitter, which is so distracting, it makes it hard to identify any flavors. Maybe a cranberry and white pepper. Very dry finish. Not much good I can say about this effort. I hope the rest of the Sineann's I bought are much better.

Memorial Day weekend tasting (Willamette Valley/Ribbon Ridge, Oregon): More exuberantly bright red fruit here than some of the previous Oregon Pinots. Nice and soft on the palate, showing similar soft red fruits and a little spice. Soft and spicy finish, which is very smooth. High octane, but I could guzzle this.

Deep red in color, mushrooms and dirt aromas, musky
soft faded fruit on entry with elements of chocolate and black pudding
