Purple with magenta edges. Crushed blueberries, warm leather, and baking spice nose. Medium bodied, copious blackberries, pepper, cherry cola, well integrated tannins, smoke, and a long, slightly sweet, berry-filled finish. A real pleasure to drink.

nice bottle, very enjoyable. Not as syrupys as some syrah's. Has a nice balanced taste with a deep mouth feel. Berries are noticeable but kept in check.

Part of a blind tasting. When shown what we were drinking, I expected something more bold, but this PS has seems to have a lighter, more subtle flavor structure. Tart blackberry, spice box, and hints of coffee. Fair amount of tannin and acidity.

Not a ton of fruit, but wonderfully complex once you let it breathe a while. Coffee, spice, some licorice, and oak. All with a good bit of acidity. Went really well with lamb shanks.

Wow!! Tons of coffee on the nose joined by a touch of dark fruit. I thought this would be big given the nose, but it is more subtle. Really interesting with a lot going on.

similar to previous note. Long decant with nice reward of blossoming complex dark fruit, spice. Reasonably balanced, medium finish. Dark, opaque purple.

Second half after stored overnight with vacuum in pantry was an unexpected and welcome surprise. It was nicely balanced with subtle notes of dark fruit and minieral. Nothing unpleasant and holding its own with the nice 2007 Beaulieu Georges de Latour I had decided to enjoy with a long decant. I would change my score to 90+ and do plan to go back for more at this QPR.

Young PS, with lots of acidity at present but great promise in its blackberry, herbal, and coffee aromas and flavors. Lots of tannin structure on the back end. Best 2011-15.

Well it was much smoother than first tasting 6 years ago definable mellowing with age. Dark fruit and great finish.

PnP at restaurant. Still a fruit bomb but beginning to soften. Blueberry and plum. Nice wine.

Complete swill - most likely tainted with thiols. Nose of rubber tennis shoe soles and rubber cement. Sharp edges all over the palate. Concerned.

Classic petite sirah flavors. On par with other petite sirahs in this price range.

Had a bottle of this at a Pan-Asian fusion restaurant. Deep purple, spicy, fruity, complex, drinkable with or without food. Highly recommend.
