Ruddy but not too thick red. Stewed red fruits and leather nose. Light to medium bodied, cranberries, cherries, soft tannins, decent acid, and a nice, fruit-filled medium plus finish. Good, but aging fast. Drink up.

Lots of cherry and sweet oak initially with a little heat. It mellows out quickly to reveal more of a melange of dark red fruits and well integrated oak with a touch of spice. Without food the tannins got very grippy after a short time in the glass but I popped some dark chocolate covered blueberries and the wine suddenly seemed very juicy. Overall a nice mid-week wine that is just starting to show some age with a barely perceptible sherry-like note in the background.

Somewhat cloudy dark red. Crushed strawberry perfume, sage, and earth nose. Medium bodied, pomegranates, bing cherries, sweet tannins, a bit of heat, and a finish that's both tart and sweet. Easy drinking and a decent value.

This bottle was somewhat off. Hopefully an anomaly as this is definitely one of my favorite wines. Bottle was pretty tart/sour, but did not taste "turned", just didn't come together.

This wine is drinking very well now. Ripe flavors of bramble, plum, black cherry, blackberry, toasted oak and earth. Good acidity and soft-moderate tannin. Not a very complex wine but it went very well with food. I think this will continue to drink well for a few more years.

Ran through the Vinturi and decanted about 1/2 hour, then drank with beef & noodles and grilled jalapeños. Very fruity and delicious. Drinking very well now.

Notes of red cherry and oak on the nose. On the palate it is balanced but not overly complex, with a nice finish. Some fruit comes through but is not overwhelming.

Right out of the bottle with no decanting or aerating, the nose was distinctly cherry and chocolate, and the first few sips reinforced that, but with a hint of pepper added. Over time, it opened up and actually became less fruity, but more of the chocolate flavors and even something like coffee came out. All in all, very delicious and very happy with such a great QPR.

Nose: Nice fruit and with a hint of pepper. Taste: Tart cherries, good fruit. Fruit forward with a nice lingering peppery finish. Not at all sweet, but I wouldn't call it dry either.
This seems to a pretty balanced wine. Lacks complexity, but I think that's what makes it good. Looking forward to drinking this one over the next few years to see how/if it evolves.

An easy drinking quaff! Bright tart berry fruits on the nose & initial approach and soft tannins. Finish is surprisingly long for a low priced blend. Another great play from Ty

Bright red in the glass, not inky at all. Really nice nose - I actually thought raspberry, of all things, and then something floral. Bright, tart fruit on the front, some tannins mid-palate, and then a peppery finish. I'm surprised to say it, but I think this is definitely better than the 2008 version (which was a very different blend). Very pleased.

Great QPR. Not as complex or robust as some Ty Caton wines, but in a way more enjoyable as it is well balanced a a bit toned down making it much more versatile with a wider variety of food. Nose of dark cherry, plum, and cassis. Palate of mild oak, dark chocolate and bright cherry. Balanced tannins with long finish.

The night I spent with this wine was so exquisite, I almost feel like I cheated on my girlfriend. The perfect blend of sweet, tart, alcohol, tannin...I don't think I've ever had a wine this good, at least not within 5x the price range...
Do note it takes time to open up, aerating and/or decanting will very much help, but it needs 1-2 hours to really become the gem that it is.

Wow for the Woot price this was awesome. Smooth, velvety, flavorful, ever so light tannins but just right. I love this wine. Retail is $26 which I'm not sure I would pay. But for the Wine.Woot price (4 bottles for $55) it's an amazing deal. Would buy again.

Definitely got oak and heat on the nose. You could taste the heat initially, but it mellowed out. Good wine, not great.

Decent table wine. Good fruit, ready to drink now. A bit of structure with a good finish. Can stand up to some food with some spice.

Nice bottle of wine, my wife loved it. Held up well when we didn't get around to drinking the second half of the bottle for a few days.
