Glad I drank this now. It has some freshness left at the start and decent apple/pear fruit, but is showing more secondary elements with the oak still there and then it falls off a bit after an hour or so. It is a nice wine, I just think my last two bottles indicated it peaked a couple of years ago.

Dinner at Hemmingway's in Cascais Portugal. GREAT restaurant, highly recommend and owner Sommelier Pedro is very knowledgable. Service, food and ambience definitely worth of Micheline star. The one is outstanding with good full body, bright but subdued acidity saying lay me down. Good balanced flavors of vanilla cream, some suggest buttered toast but the problem is there is no toast only butter. Establishes early on the palate its identity if you are familiar with this producer and sustaines its flavor profile of citrus and tropical fruit through the finish. Worthy of purchasing if you can find.

Restaurant Chateau Courban, early Aug 2014: golden color; butter, caramel and slightly lemon aromas and flavors; medium/full body; smooth, polished texture.

2009 was a rich vintage. This Chardonnay is made in the creamy-style and contains a lot flavours like butter, vanilla, oak and lots of fruit and flowers. High on intensity, strong flavours and power.

Very light oak on the nose. Slight buttered toast along with tropical fruit and lychee. On the palate, it's crisp and lithe with mineral, stony flavors. Not much complexity. It has a nutty, lychee aftertaste with some light butter.

Butter oaky bouquet. Full bodied, intense, good fruit with balanced oak.
No sign of oxidation. Well rounded excellent length. Lacks finesse.

Lovely nose. Fresh fruit. Balanced. Rich enough but still easy drinking.

Starting to show some signs of premature oxidation, but nice round palate and balanced acidity. Some burnt sugars on the back end.

Tasting at Domaine Chandon de Briailles and Maison Jadot (Savigny-lès-Beaune and Beaune): Lovely florals on the nose, apples, white and yellow fruit; very nice palate, good length, touch of wood but not at all obtrusive. Excellent 2009.
