Purple, unlike other Oregons I have had that were red. Not thin and tart at all, but chewy, viscous, and complex with black fruits, also unlike other Oregons I've had. This has an interesting leather note on the nose, with some oak. Broad palate of black fruit, with leathery tannins providing a great backbone. It could use a bit more acidity to go the long haul, but I think a couple years will treat this very well. My favorite Oregon pinot to date.

The Blind Drunks monthly tasting (Niche Restaurant, Geneva, Illinois): Tasted double blind. Funky earthy aromas, maybe some mushroom too. Nice tannins, with red fruit and sweet oak on the finish.
