Arnaud Ente Vertical Bourgogne Blanc (2009/2014/2017)
The best wine of the night for me. With some age and development, the ripeness of the vintage has mellowed and now showing beautifully. White flowers, cream and marzipan cheese come to the fore with crispy acidity delineating the lush and opulent palate lemongrass and mango. Stunning balance and a treat

superbe nez, pierre a fusil et zeste de citron. En bouche frais avec des arones de vanilke et une belke tension. Un bourgogne village au niveau des 1er crus de certains

Kept under condition one since september 2012 (see my profile). Taste: lemon, lightly sour, with fine, but not very prominent fruit and rather much, but fine oak. After some time in the glass a bit better integrated. I read that the 2009 white burgundies are not to keep for a long time. Maybe that's the reason why this second bottle of this wine disappointed me still more than the first despite all the previous positive notes about it. 85.

Marred by a very dominant note of burnt rubber. Nothing wrong w the basic aroma, just unbalanced. You'll aldo find plenty of minerality, buttery tropical floral notes and well integrated acidity. Drink pretty soon and hope you find the rubber notes less intrusive than what I did. Airing seemed to make the wine improve, basic problem still there, though.

Kept under condition 2 since September 2012. Colour: straw yellow. Nose: above all oak, besides that once and a while nice, but faint citrus, apple and other notes. Taste: follows the nose. Relying on the very good earlier tasting notes of this wine, this bottle was to old and showed only a shadow of its former qualities: the fruit had mostly, or almost fully disappeared, and what remained was a mere “framework” of oak. A pity. When kept under this condition: drink up! 86.

Red 2007 Guigal Masterclass (Stockholm): Nose with ripe yellow fruit, apple, some oak, some flowery and perfumed notes. Medium bodied+, palate with ripe yellow fruit, some honey, good acidity, rather long aftertaste. Rather young, but fully accessible. 89 p

Third bottle, less burnt rubber more minerals, pineapple, pear, better acidity. Enjoyable.
