Gold, but not dark gold, in color...not surprising due to its age. A creamy nose with a faint hint of petrol. Honey and dried apricot on the palate with a smooth, long finish. This may be a bit past its prime, but amazingly good for its age. Was tempted to score it even higher than 90. Still a winner. Three cheers to the folks at Sonoma-Cutrer.

While definitely past its prime, this bottle was surprisingly fresh when first opened and held up fine with our grilled chicken meal. Tried it first at ~58degrees and was fine; chilled to closer to 50, perhaps not quite as good. Medium nose of apricot, hint of lime. Good acidity on the palate, medium finish. Hints of oak but nothing to complain about, good citrus notes plus stone fruit overtones on the palate.

From half bottle. Oaky medium weight Chardonnay with less vanilla, drier fruit and a mildly acidic finish. Hint of pineapple on the nose, not buttery. Drink now, do not wait, maybe the fruit is getting a little thin by now.

Reminds me of those Bourbon barreled beers!! But jokes aside this really is delectable and complex and given me a new confidence and view of those "Buttery Oaky Chards ".

Tropical notes of citrus, pineapple, vanilla, cream, and a hint of coconut abound from the glass. Lots of piña colada, lemon, steely minerality, and lip-smacking acidity on the palate, which is good because they land up taming the obvious use of oak. Finishes with a clingy mouthfeel. Very good.

Light lemon. Intriguing nose not what one would expect initially from a Cali chard: slight vanilla & butter from the oak, ripe apples, rich cornish cream, ripe citrus with a very slight edge of tropical fruit. Mineral aspect too. The palate is rich, full bodied, fruity yet delineated with minerality and high acidity. Great length on the finish. Will grow in complexity with bottle age. California sunshine in a glass. Solid.

Half bottle. Chilled and paired with a chicken curry dinner. Might not have been the best pairing since it bought out a more minerally taste. Generally a pleasant middle of the road every day wine. Light body, light citris flavor, no oak I could sense.

This is the closest thing I have had to a classic French mostly un-oaked white burgundy in some time. It had the flinty, steely, mineral texture with off-dry peaches. If it had oak, not much. We had it at a Big Island seafood restaurant with Ono fish and was a terrific paring.

I only had a small taste, so no notes. But it had a beautiful fruity, flowery nose and a nice medium texture. After the great nose, I expected some sweetness on the palate. Instead, it had some sharp edges and a tart finish. Will not score on just a small taste especially when the nose and palate did not match.

This is how Californian Chardonnays should be. Wonderful dry aromas of oak and citrus with a touch of sawdust. The palate is nicely balanced with pineapple, grapefruit and a slight nuttyness. The finish is surprisingly long. A really great, not cheap but good value, example of US Chardonnay.

Vibrant and fresh medium bodied Chardonnay. Notes of apple, pear, and honeysuckle on the nose. A bit tart and slightly acidic with plenty of citrus. Lacks the balance of a top flight chardonnay. Slightly tart finish.

Nice solid chardonnay. Oak doesn't overwhelm. Seems consistent from year to year. Worth buying as an everyday drinking white
