Very good, but just a hair to close to the line of being over oaked. Definitely some butter. Long finish and good acid, well integrated, but just a bit out of balance. An great drinker (even at $40), and ready to go now. PDQ92+

Oh lordy! Butter, cream, butterscotch, vanillan, tropical and uber-ripe stone fruit. Big mouthfeel, textured and rich, very rich indeed. Touches of almost botrytis style apricot and orange marmalade. Not for everyone but I love it.

This is an excellent Cali Chard, not overly oaked but still delivers great notes of buttery vanilla with crisp flavors of pear, lemon rind and straw. Lovely wine. Paired great with crab cakes.

A smooth, balanced and full bodied wine. Some nuttiness on the nose. Green apple, pineapple, warm buttered toast and an abundance of oak. A little bite on the finish that settles into dried fruit.

I thought this was the most Burgundian in style of the wines I tried. There was nice pear, vanilla, and well integrated oak. Some lemon zest. It was very full in the mouth. Very nice.

Norberto's & Grace's 6th Anniversary Dinner (Auberge du Soleil): I am usually not enthralled by Paul Hobbs wines, so this caught me a bit off guard. Aromas of coconut, banana and tropical fruits. Well-balanced with the oak very well-matched by the amount of fruit. Flavors of pear and apple, toast and vanilla; picks up a lemon curd quality on the long finish. 93+ pts.

Still drinking well, but a little post peak. Not going to get better with more cellar time.

Chardonnay bien beurré, vibrant à l'œil, belle tenue. Boisé qui s'intègre bien. Continuera de bien évoluer. J'adore

Honeymoon Wine Tasting; 6/25/2012-7/3/2012 (California - Napa & Sonoma Counties): Tasted at Winery. Light yellow in color, with aromas of green apple, peach, some oak, and slight citrus. The initial flavors are strong and complex and lead into oak and a long yet simple finish.

Bright yellow color. Fresh nose of apple, pear. Supple mouthfeel with nice acidity and mineral notes to balance the caramelized fruit flavors.
