#10. Tasted double blind in a lineup of 13 wines from the 1980's. From my notes verbatim- "Overwhelming smell and taste of fresh cut okra. Not a compliment. Plonk." This was probably the most foul wine I have ever had but, thankfully, it was basically the Gary Busey of wine since it was so bad it was funny.

After being open for less than 30 minutes, this wine was absolutely dead. Became even thinner, unpleasant to smell / taste, vinegary, and well past where it needed to be. Which was unfortunate since it had a remarkably high fill level prior to it being opened, and was (allegedly) sourced directly from the chateau's own stock. I will find the Parisian wine-merchant that sold me this bottle and have some stern words for her in the future!!

Garnet color in the glass, fairly clear looking. Nose of spice, dried herbs and berries. Not much on the palate. Medium acidity, medium tannins, medium body. Drink now. I got to this one really quick compared to others. Pretty much fell apart thereafter. No rating.

CT Texas IV - A Hill Country Treat; 5/18/2012-5/19/2012 (Austin, Texas): The infamous #10 in the lineup. This was the wine that had everybody talking.....about how bad it was. Definitely over the hill, nothing there providing any pleasure other than the looks of disgust on everyone's face.

CT Offline IV--Hill Country Edition; 5/18/2012-5/19/2012 (Austin / Texas Hill Country / Castleman Ranch): Popped and poured and had some notes of roast beef, and a bit of sweet green pepper. Very thin, and the fruit is completely gone. Not really unpleasant, just completely unremarkable. Imagine this was an ok wine at some point, but hard to tell that now.
