Decanted and tasted, personally cellared for 12 years. This bottle has held up quite well, loads of dark tart fruit, peppery notes on the finish, fully integrated, perhaps not the most complex Napa cab but a pleasure to drink nonetheless.

Very nice showing, rich and concentrated, with loads of dark fruit, plenty of oak and ready to drink. Drank along side the 2009 Raymond which was a notch down compared to this bottle.

Tasted blind. Nice, clear ruby red color. No thick heavy oak but cherry, red/black raspberry, graham cracker w/hint of spice nose. Medium bodied mid palate of light tannins, dried cherry, cranberry, dried out tomato and good acidity w/a dry lightly spiced finish. Won't get in way of most meat or pasta dishes. Decent QPR.

A nose of rich dark fruits, dark garnet in color. A full bodied and smooth Napa Cab, with blackberry, and black cherry, currants, chocolate spice finish. A very good and classic Cab.

This is one of the best value driven Napa Cabernets I have come across in quite some time. Delicious dark currants, sweet cassis, herbs, anise, spice and toasted oak wrapped up with round, polished tannins and luscious texture. The finish is so soft and silky. There really is nothing not to like here, especially the price! (Drink 2012-2016) - April, 2012. (JD)

A nose of rich dark fruits, dark garnet in color. A full bodied and smooth Napa Cab, with blackberry, and black cherry, currants, chocolate spice finish. Has good length, just needs a brief decant, my 2012 Wine of The Year for a combination of value and taste.

Solid cab that I blind tasted after the bottle was open for 45 minutes. Pretty nose of plum, blackberry, currant, black cherry, and vanilla all coming through. Medium weight, more black fruit on the pallette with enough oak to soften it. Had a great roundness to it, and a nice medium length finish. Great structure and fairly complex, as I remember. I guessed $40+ and a terrific wine for the money.

Tasted at Brix in Omaha. Nose: Expressive scents of ripe black and blue fruit, vanilla cream, and dark flowers. Palate: Full bodied, black berry and black cherry which fades a bit through the mid-palate but comes back to dominate a lengthy satisfying finish.

Here’s another Cabernet Sauvignon that’s not all cab. According to the Raymond Vineyards website, this one is 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, and 3% Cabernet Franc, and it’s 14.5% alcohol. The list price is $35, but I picked it for $19.99 at Mahan’s. The people at Mahan’s said if I liked the Sebastini 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon that I’d love this, and I love the Sebastini, especially its jammy finish. Mmm.
Ok. To the wine. It’s not very opaque for a cab. It’s like 75% opaque. I can see through it.
The nose is big and musty with mushrooms, black currants, raspberries, anise, one bing cherry, and few grains of cinnamon. There’s a lot going on here. I hope it tastes a bit more simple.
There are big fruits, but they aren’t juicy. They are dry. There’s a hint of cherry, too.
The finish is spicy with white pepper plus the cinnamon. What a fun finish. It’s not jammy like the Sebastini, but it’s fun. I keep sipping it just for the finish. The long finish.
It so smooth and velvety, too. It’s damned delicious. 91 points.

Ruby-Garnet hue with aromas of cherry, earth, and leather. Medium body with nice balance of fruit and oak. A fair amount of acid followed with soft tannins make this a very easy drinking wine yet has just enough character to stay interesting. My third bottle in recent months and it continues to be enjoyable and a great bargain for the price

Tasted at Brix wine bar. Nose: Earthy, black cherry, blueberry, and smoke. Palate: Miedium plus bodied, blackberry, black currant, and gritty tannins hold on strong through the mid-palate to the back-end and dominate a lengthy finish showing dark fruit and earthiness.

Great nose, port-like. Great wine, wonderful balance. Not a heavy cab, but substantial. Both red and dark berries, leather, pepper, tons of black tea, great long and smooth finish. I would pay $35 for it or more. I love this wine.

Good Napa-cab nose. Good fruit on the palate, in balance with the tannin. Drank with lunch by the glass at Max Amore's bar. Bottle was almost certainly opened the night before. That said, this was a drink now. It'll hold for 3-5 years, but I don't see it getting any better.

Good solid flavors. Still quite young and all the components are still not meshing. Skipped the fruit and went straight towards earthy green notes. Nice mouthfeel but not sure it had the acid for the ages. Will peak in 1-2 years

Tons of medium dark fruit, almost pruney. Non-existent tannins and no backbone. No sense this wine came from a vine. Not a good steak wine.
