Medium yellow. Faint bouquet, palate also a bit thin but this was nicely balanced and lacked only in some mid-palate oomph. Citrus heavy and medium final.

Properly pale; broad, plenty of oak, develops a 'natural wine' style, not entirely convincing, quince; initially flattering, lacks authenticity, acidity protrudes as it warms up. A challenge.

Decanted for 1 hour and drank over the next 3-4 hours. Very nice nose of apple and pear initially after a swirl. Nice salinity and medium body. After a few hours flavors of lemon and a hint of almond came to the forefront. Nice wine, not sure I would pay more than the Last Bottle price for a split, but paired well with seafood. If you drink it now, recommend decanting and then placing in fridge for ~20 minutes.

H/btl. Bought on a flyer from the LastBottle marathon. Crystal clear, very light yellow. Nose was a bit closed. Palate was dominated by minerality - the word 'austere' came to mind. A little green apple. Nice, but nothing special for me. Finish was short and crisp. Overall, nice wine. (5+11+16+7)

After one and a half hour it begins to show what is has: A very appealing buttery-mineral nose with notes of bergamot and anise, and a harmonious taste of a slightly restrained richness with some oak. Not terribly complex but very nice.

Vin d'une belle énergie, frais et dense. Saveurs de poires et fleurs blanches, un beau vin gras, assez puissant, qui se distingue par sa pureté et sa précision. Excellent. 90 pts

Smoky, lemon, a bit oaky, nice mineral bite, tres voluptuous body. Ana says it's beguiling -- well said! Terrific value at $34. Somewhat reminds me of the DNA code for Leeuwin Art Series.

The 2009 Domaine Buisson-Charles Meursaults at Scott Paul (Carlton, OR): Aromas are really spicy with plenty of hints of oak char. There's some additional texture there, but the spiced oak is quite dominant. Palate entry begins very spicy, but a nice pineapple (and other tropical flavors) begin coming in quickly. Plenty of acid hits hard throughout, with a body that is fairly voluptuous and sexy for this level. Heavy acid and very rich fruit attack quickly on the finish. This shows deep, cutting acid with a slight mineral, saline notion, and noticeable oak flavors. A real pleasure that I'd love to see soften on the oak a bit with some time. Interestingly, this showed the most oak flavors of the whole lineup. 90+

Nez sur les poires, un vin déjà ouvert et agréable, précis, avec du gras, de la minéralité en milieu de bouche, une finale équilibrée. Très beau avec de la fraicheur, un bon volume en bouche, de la substance et….du style! 91 pts

Fairly classic Meursault, quite good and correct, with some oak.

Drinking perfectly - lovely, semi-mature, meursault (nuts, butter etc) but with enough freshness to keep it far from beeing a cliche.

Nice touch of oak and plenty of minerals on the finish. A bit hefty in weight, though a very enjoyable experience.

Oxidized, although there were hints of a very lightly oaked, white flower chardonnay profile. From half bottle.

Bastille Day Tastings-Mostly French (San Francisco): Subtly nutty nose. Some oak but enough wine to result in good length and texture. Leesy, adequate concentration and overall, plausible and good.
