Nicely aromatic. Dark fruit flavors with a little plummy fruit note. Seems to be past prime. Rounded tannins with integrated acidity. Medium finish. Great wine, aged nicely. Drink now.

Wow, beautiful floral aromas. Lively and fresh. Round tannins with perfect refreshing acidity. Dark fruit flavors, cassis, blueberry, and ripe blackberry. Tannins are soft, smooth, rounded and integrated. Perfect acidity. Long finish. Lovely and memorable. Nicely done.

Amazing depth and character. Decanted for an hour. Really polished tannins and layers of red and black fruit. Wish it had a touch more acid but that’s not what they were aiming for. Paired with lamb & mint chimmichurri

Not as fresh as the earlier bottles...slightly unbalanced, may have been the phase it was in but was not as good as other bottles from that vintage (this was my first one) or later ones

Loved the aromatics, rife with cinnamon, cedar, and spice. Fabulous. On the palate the dark fruit flavors were elegant and rounded with medium body and soft tannins on the medium finish.

Nice nose, soft dark fruit, berries and plum, pencil shavings, smooth on the palate. This is a nice Cab but I think the better days have passed, as it was nowhere near as lively as I expected for the cost. Some Napa Cab vintages have drinking windows than others and such is probably the case with this 2009.

Just outstanding. Not sure it can get any better. Black cherry, other dark fruits and a hint of spice. Super smooth and just darn delicious. If scoring 95-97. Big score, big wine.

Opened and decanted about 5 hours before rebottling and bringing to the restaurant. Decant definitely helped - wine was in a nice soft place. Very bright fruit - one person noted it was like biting into a plum. Nice spiciness to the wine. Feels like it's one that will generally drink young - CT window of 2022 might be a bit ambitious. Enjoyable.

AGM Had this as one of the celebratory wines for my daughter's college graduation. The other was the PlumpJack Reserve. Both were excellent & crowd was split on which was liked most. How could you go wrong!! Both similar in velvet smoothness, licorice, subtle fruit. Almost worth the price!

The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Rattlesnake Hill brings together the structure to support its rich, expansive fruit. This is a beautiful wine with, intensity and balance. White flowers, spices, mocha, licorice and blueberry jam linger on the finish

Rich and powerful. Opened two hours prior to consumption. Consumed over two hours. Initially a ton of ripe black fruit on the nose. After a period of time, that evolved into more earthy notes - a mixture of dirt and cedar. On the palate, similar complexity with blackberry, cassis, and plum mixing with dark earth, cedar and smoke. Terrific mouth feel, and clean tannins. Silky smooth from start to finish. If scoring 93-95.

A bit better than the 08 Rattlesnake for me aqnd several points better than the base 09 cab. Dense, fruity, but showing some of the Rattlesnake and Spring Mountain terroir.

This is a pretty great wine...deep red color, tons of fruit with a strong backbone behind it...left open for a couple of hours which clearly helped.

a fine Napa cab. Dark and opaque, highly aromatic. Rich and lush; dark fruit but restrained. great balance and long smooth finish.

Licorice and gun powder on the nose but really nice round tannins and mouthfeel. Great expression of Spring Mountain cab.
